Falcons beat Whitney to stay in first place

The Colfax High boys basketball team maintained its first-place standing in the Pioneer Valley League with a 61-46 victory at Whitney Tuesday night.
Senior Ryan Salmonson had a big night with 16 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Falcons (18-4 overall, 6-1 PVL). Chase Mosier, Justin Witt and Kyle Greer tossed in 10 points apiece as Colfax stayed ahead of Lincoln and Placer in the race for the league title.

Sacramento Waldorf 67, Foresthill 43 at Foresthill - Travis Greene scored a team-high 12, Greg Freed finished with eight points and Travis Marshall added five in the Wildfires’ Central Valley Christian League loss Tuesday night.
Head coach Nate Swesey saw vast improvement from his Wildfires (3-13, 2-5 CVCL), who fell to the Waves 80-20 less than a month ago.
Foresthill hosts Vacaville Christian next Tuesday night.
